The 20 best bites in Bozeman
Posted On: May 01, 2017
We've written quite a few blogs about eating in Bozeman. From the Best Breakfasts in Bozeman, to weekly Specials, to Where to Eat and Drink after a Day of Skiing, to the overall Best Places to eat in Bozeman, we definitely enjoy our food! This blog focuses on the exact thing you should order when going to said eatery. Whether you are just moving to Bozeman or have lived here your whole life, here is a list of the 20 best bites we have collected from agents and friends!
1. Montana Meat Loaf – Montana Ale Works
Ale Works is a go to for the locals as well as the out-of-towners. Great beer, great food, and great ambiance- what more could you want? The Montana Meat Loaf is a bacon wrapped bison meatloaf and is simply delectable! Their hamburgers are also outstanding and we suggest the Black & Blue, Smoke Stack and Jake burgers.
2. Tomato Basil Soup – The Garage Soup Shack & Mesquite Grill
One of our agents raved about the tomato basil soup, but you really can’t go wrong with any of the homemade soups here! They have a soup bar and you take your bowl and pick your soup and put three of whatever toppings you want!
3. French Toast – Storm Castle
We did a very in-dept statistical analysis of the best place to grab breakfast in Bozeman (okay maybe not very in-depth, but we did get our Facebook friends' opinions via a poll - see it here) and Storm Castle Cafe won by a landslide! Everything there is delicious, but the french toast seems to be something EVERYONE can enjoy and it definitely fills you up!
4. Huckleberry Scone – Wild Crumb
If you haven't tried Wild Crumb yet, you are definitely missing out! You walk in to a haven of delicious, fresh-baked goods! The huckleberry scone is a must if you are an out-of-towner looking for an authetic Bozeman treat!
5. Coffee Donuts – Granny’s Gourmet Donuts
See that donut on the far left? Yep, that's the one we are talking about! The coffee cream flavoring isn't too strong, but you definitely taste it and it is simply the best!
6. PESTO CAVATAPPI – CAFE FRESCO
This coastal Italian dish is made with walnut and fresh basil and served over cavatappi pasta. Beyond its raving reviews, it looks beautiful!
7. Open Range Pork Chop – Open Range
Wild Mushrooms, Leeks, Smoked Mashed Potato, Apple Butter, Chimichurri Butter over a delectable pork chop. And while you are there, get the corn bread that comes with their special bacon butter on top!
8. Fish Tacos – Midtown Tavern
3 mini, blackened, fish tacos with slaw, corn salsa, and sriracha aioli for the win!
9. HomeMade Potato Chip – Ted's Montana Grill
Rumor on the street is the homemade potato chips with the onion dip is FABULOUS! This is the perfect appetizer before a delicious meal!
10. Fettuccine Alfurrito Burrito with Chicken – La Parrilla Grill
In their words it is "a bed of fettuccine, married with a traditional alfredo sauce." Pair it with shrimp or chicken and you have a fun, original burrito!
11. Baja Fish tacos – The Bay
More fish tacos? Why not! These have also received great reviews and just by looking at them, we are ready to dine!
12. SHRIMP BISQUE – THE POUR HOUSE
This dish is only served on Friday, but it is definitely worth the trip to the crowded, fun bar with great service!
13. Pulled Pork Tacos – Over The Tapas
This Spanish restaurant is a fun dining experience for a small group. The small plates make it a great place to order many dishes and share them with your table! The traditional Paella is also very good and authentic!
14. Jambalaya – Cafe Zydeco
With Cafe Zydeco being so close to our office, we frequent there quite a bit. Beyond the Jambalaya, some agent favorites are the Philly Cheese Steak, Crawfish and the Shrimp Etouffee.
15. Fresh Hot Pies in the afternoon – the Western Cafe
Bozeman breakfasts are a MUST if you are considering a classic, Montana dining experience. This cute, old-fashioned cafe is known by the locals and loved by everyone! Their classic breakfasts and biscuits and gravy are also fan-favorites (beyond the hot pies) and we highly suggest them!
16. Mustard rub baby back ribs – Willow Creek Cafe & Saloon
This is a charming, homey restaurant about 10 minutes outside of Three Forks. The delicious meats will definitely make it worth the drive!
17. copper burger – Copper Whiskey Bar and Grill
This restaurant reminds me of a classy speak-easy as it is in the basement of a Main Street building and serves incredible burgers and drinks! On Wednesdays, you can get a Copper Burger, Fries, and a PBR for just $11 (see more specials here). If you're not feeling a burger, try the smoked brisket tacos with a Sriracha margarita; You won't be disappointed!
18. Jaw dropper – Seven
For $9.00 you can get the jaw dropper (Crawfish, cream cheese, avocado, and mango, tempura fried and topped with liger sauce, sweet soy, and toasted coconut) at this incredible sushi restaurant!
19. Pizza – Blackbird or Pizza Campania
We have heard great things about both of these Italian restaurants and their wood-fired pizzas! Pair it with a nice glass of wine and you have yourself a classy, Italian meal!
20. Tiramisu – Cafe Fresco
Cafe Fresco made the list again, but do you see the dessert to the left?! Any of the pastas here are delicious and you really can’t go wrong, but consider topping your dining experience off with their delectable tiramisu (free if you go on your birthday) for a dining experience you surely won’t forget!
