The Top 8 ice cream Parlors in Bozeman

Bozeman just got a new ice cream shop and we couldn’t be more excited!  Sweet Peaks is garnering quite a bit of attention (and customers) and we decided it was about time we did an ice cream parlor roundup on great ice cream spots in Bozeman.  Here are our top 8!

1. The Chocolate moose

This candy and soda shoppe serves 16 different flavors of ice cream made in Livingston!  It is the perfect place to bring your kids to get the "old-fashioned candy store" experience!

2. Pickle barrel

Pickle Barrel is known for their sandwiches, but to the left of their sandwich shop is a quaint ice cream parlor with incredible flavors including Peach, Huckleberry, and Coconut.  Enjoy your generous-sized scoop outside at one of their tables on a warm summer afternoon!

3. Genuine Ice Cream co.

You’ve seen the bus, assumed it’s just tacos, and are ready for a life-changing surprise- the front serves ice cream! Genuine Ice Cream Co. is served at the Victory Taco bus as well as in pints at The Roost (and it is made on site there) and it is a local favorite!  They change up their unique flavors frequently, but you can often find Orange Creamsical, Cat Daddy Cardamom, and Taste of Tamarind.

4. burger bob's

This downtown burger joint has a fun, old-timer’s atmosphere.  Their milkshakes (or malts) are enough for 2 as they serve it in the milkshake glass and the tin can!  The Huckleberry milkshake is definitely a win and they top the delicacy with whipped cream and a cherry (although you may have to ask for it)!

5. the u burgers and shakes

Another Huckleberry Milkshake worth trying!  Plus, they have burgers based on different cities like the Portland (which has peanut butter), the Beverly Hills (has a white truffle oil), and the Boulder BLT (six slices of bacon).  Great atmosphere and great food- what more could you want?!

6. La Chatelaine Chocolat Co.

This French chocolate shop began when a Frenchman and American women met and decided to share their love of French chocolates with the people of Bozeman!  Their ice cream is shipped in from an artisan on the West Coast and it is incredibly delicious and $3 a scoop.

7. best burger

Best Burger is located in Four Corners.  Their hand-spun milkshake created from Wilcoxson's soft-serve ice cream is definitely worth the 10 minute drive out of town!

8. sweet peaks ice cream

This new ice cream parlor has seen fame in Whitefish, Kalispell, and Missoula and FINALLY made its way to Bozeman a few weeks ago and we are absolutely delighted!  Your biggest challenge while there will be choosing a flavor.  Their Montana flavors are a big hit!  From Huckleberry ice cream made with REAL HUCKLEBERRIES to Bobcat Tracks (not to be confused with the similar flavor, Griz Tracks, in Missoula), you really can’t go wrong!
