8 things to do the 4th of july weekend in the gallatin valley
Posted On: Jun 27, 2017
Check out the Freedom Fest in Three Forks and enjoy the poker run, live music (by the Diamonds), lunch (provided by Blondie Bakes and Catering), and more! The Poker Run Route begins at the Sacajawea Hotel then travels to Townsend - Commercial Bar, then to Ringling - Ringling Bar, then to Wilsall - The Bank Bar, and finally to Last Card - Yellowstone Harley-Davidson.
There's nothing quite like a good farmer's market and Gallatin Valley has one of the best (in our opinion). Everything sold at the market is homemade or homegrown. From the adorable 2nd Story Studio bags to local BEEF from Harry Armstrong & Betsy Indreland, you definitely won't be disappointed! (It will be held at Haynes Pavilion at the Gallatin County Fairgrounds).
Join EKAM yoga for a free yoga class to ring in the Fourth of July weekend! Themed attire is encouraged, and the best dressed wins a 6-pack of beer and a free class. Registration is required so make sure to click the link and get on that ASAP.
Enjoy this awesome three day festival that starts on July 2nd with a parade down Main Street from 3pm – 5pm. Also beginning on the 2nd is The Livingston Roundup Rodeo which will last until the 4th. Grab your burgers, watermelon, chips, and beer and see professionals and amateurs from around the country compete!
This FREE event has fun and interactive activities for you to enjoy with your children, including bounce houses, bubbles, chalk, paint, a brand new sport court, and so much more! Go to the front lawn at 9:30-11:30AM at The Commons at Baxter and Love Lane to enjoy this family-friendly event!
Participate in the 10th Annual Race for Independence to benefit the adults with developmental disabilities who receive their residential, vocational, and transportation services from REACH.
This will be the event to attended! With one of the largest firework shows in Montana (at 10:30) and a free symphony concert at 9:00 PM, this is something NOT TO MISS! Go out to the Gallatin County Fair Grounds at 7:00 PM for some food and drink!
If you're out in the Big Sky area, this will be a great all-day event to attend! Start with the 9am 5 mile and 10 mile mountain bike ride or take your kids to the 1k kids run/walk! After there will be tons of kid's activities including a duck race, flag football, and a disc golf tournament. Definitely don't miss the bbq from 11am to 2pm with proceeds going to the parks committee for BSCC. In the evening a funky blues band (Freddy Pink) will perform until the amazing fireworks show begins!
